Friki-D Store: A Game-Changer for Costa Rican Design

Hey! I’m really excited about this piece of news. As you may know already, I am from Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a really small country but it has a tremendous amount of talented people working in all types of areas, design (in all its kinds) being one of the strongest ones. But one of the disadvantages of being a designer in a small country is that there are not many places to offer your products or ideas. There are a few stores, but they are small and they are all in the heart of the city of San Jose, the capital of the country, so not everyone can go shopping there. This makes it difficult for Costa Rican designers to make a living out of their creations, so a lot of them end up getting a regular office job in order to support themselves. So, hearing of a new place where a lot of them will have the opportunity of offering their designs to a much wider public is great news! Friki-D is a new online store launching in March that will make the work of Costa Rican designers available to people all over the world. All of the products will be 100% exclusive, meaning you will not be able to get them anywhere else and no one will be wearing the same dress as you or using the same earrings. They will not only offer clothes and accessories, but also photographic and graphic work and many other types of products. Since it is an online store, they will be able to carry the work of many more designers than a small physical store can and you can shop at anytime and anywhere. So, it would great if you can visit their website once the store launches in March and hopefully buy a thing or two. Who knows, this might be your new go to store for when you want to get something that will make people ask you: “Where did you get this?! I love it!”
